Guards helping to adopt a government school:Accumulation and appreciation
Acclaimed police are praising the police
for helping the students with the adoption of a government school.
Government school is functioning in Thirumangalam, Chennai. The school
was started in 1966 as a primary school. Since 2002, it has been
converted into a middle school. It was subsequently upgraded to a high
school on July 18, 2017.
The school currently has 135 teachers
and 8 teachers. In this context, the new idea of adoption of the
Government School was put before the Commissioner of Chennai, AK
Viswanathan. Accordingly, Anna Nagar Deputy Commissioner Muthusamy and
Police Inspector Ravi made the dream come true.
Students adopt a particular government
school and meet their small demands. That is, the police have bought
desks, chairs, plates and bureau. They are also undertaking renovations
of the school building by raising funds to provide better facilities for
the poor students.
In an interview with The Times of India,
the police inspector Ravi said, "This is a good opportunity to discuss
with the students. People and children are not afraid of us. It will
help all to abide by the law and order." Maheshwari, the headmaster of
the school, said,
"The police are meeting even the
smallest demands that we have requested. With the best facilities
available now, the students will be able to concentrate on studying. The
school will soon have a new library." Earlier, residents in the area
reported that some of the anti-social elements continued to drink
alcohol and break bottles on the school premises, and that this was a
place for anti-social forces.
