How to Calculate NEET Percentile?

How to Calculate NEET Percentile?
As we all know, CBSE choose percentile method for those who want to take admission in dental/medical colleges. This method is suitable for all the students. Percentile method for NEET can be calculated by two methods:
  • Marks based-
Evaluation of percentile on the basis of marks can easily be done. Here is an example by which you can easily understand the method- For it, I am giving an example
If A has scored 295 in NEET and 396 is the highest score obtained by topper of NEET, then the percentile of A will be calculated as are follows:
295 x 100/396 = 74.49
  • Basis Of Rank
Evaluation of percentile on the basis of rank is somewhat difficult in comparison to the first one. You can understand it easily by an example, Check the example given below;
If you had scored Rank 50 in NEET and appeared students are 6, 00,000,
Then the percentile will be:
[600000-50)/600000] X 100 = 99.99
So, you can easily find the percentile. Now if you want to calculate UG or PG percentile then you can easily get this.
How to calculate UG, PG percentile?
With the help of above two methods, you can easily determine your percentile for NEET (UG & PG). It is the best way to find your percentile. One more method is discussed here:
  • If the total candidates who are applied for NEET (UG or PG) entrance are 1000 and out of this 700 of them got score below your score, when your percentile will be calculated as 70.
  • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test organized by Central Board of Secondary Education with the motive to give admissions in various UG and PG courses in Medical Field. On yearly basis, this exam is conducted so that they can select eligible candidates. Candidates who will be qualified NEET only allowed to get admissions in various medical courses like MBBS, BDS and others.
  • Note: You need to get 50 percentile in any case if you want to take admission in Medical/Dental colleges.
  • Thank you!
