With reference to the announcement cited , a mission mode " Makkal Palli " programme is planned to be implemented to bridge the learning gaps / losses owing to lack of access to structured education during the lockdown for students schools of studying from Classes 1 to 8 across the state.
The Prime objectives of the programme are :
• To provide learning in a non - school , closer to home , small cohort set - up involving HMs , teachers and volunteers using a hamlet based outreach program.
• To reinforce the learning input provided by the school using the " Makkal Palli " programme One volunteer will oversee the learning progress of approximately 15-20 students
Orientation
• Volunteers will be trained & oriented on " Makkal Palli " programme
• Brief Volunteer training programmes will be conducted offline / online
• " Makkal Palli " learning centers and volunteer engagement to be monitored by the Village leve committee .
• District level committee is to ensure the smooth functioning of " Makkal Palli " at every Village through supportive visits
• District functionaries to encourage sharing of inter - block innovative practices
• The State officials shall create a scope for inter - district cross learning on various best practices observed across the state.
After rolling out the programme , the rewards and recognition will be done as follows :
• Top performing students , volunteers and teachers to be recognised at Panchayat , District and State level
• Top performing Committees to be rewarded and recognised by Government officials at each level with appropriate media coverage
• Volunteer incentive framework to be designed to ensure committed delivery of " Makkal Palli " programme
• Volunteers to be honoured with certificates
