Teacher's
Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in many parts of our country. The day
is dedicated to teachers, who play a prominent role in the life of their
students. The teachers act as the guide for life, show the path towards success
and enrich the personality of their disciples by imparting ethical and academic
knowledge. They bring out the untamed talents of their students and sharpen it
in order to bring out the best results. It was a great day in Mount Zion
International School (CBSE) also when teacher’s day was celebrated. The celebrations
at MZIS took place in the August presence of the Director, Dr. Jonathan P.
Jayabharathan. In his special address, he
pinpointed that “Talent wins games,
Teamwork wins Championship”. The celebrations was marked with scintillating
programmes by the students starting from Prayer song, Prayer, Tamil Thai
Vazhtu, Welcome address, cultural programmes and the students honoured the
teachers with special titles for each. The Director was given the title of
“Organisation King”, the Associate Director, Mrs Angeline Jonathan as “Organisation Queen” and the Principal was
given the title as “Mother of the earth” and so on.
It was really a great honour to the
teachers as they too were given titles based on their caliber. The programme
came to an end with vote of thanks by the Associate Director, Mrs. Angeline
Jonathan in the presence of Director, Dr Jonathan and Principal, Dr
Jalajakumari. Mrs Angeline congratulated the students and teachers for their
dedicated work and presenting an eye-catching performance.
