Tamilnadu Government Free Civil Service Coaching 2016 Announcement Notification Published for the UPSC Civil Service Preliminary Examination 2016 in the Today's Dinathanthi Newspaper (06-09-2015).
All India Civil Service Coaching Centre, Chennai is run by Tamilnadu Government. It offers quality free coaching for the UPSC Civil Service Preliminary Exam , Main Exam and Interview. Now the institution has called applications for IAS Preliminary Exam 2016 free coaching.

Coaching is of two kinds : Full time (Residential) and Part-time-Evening (Non-residential) for the different categories are as below

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification - Degree from a recognized University
Age limit (as on 1-8-2016)
Minimum: 21 years for all candidates
Maximum: 32 years for General Candidates
The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable:
i)upto a maximum of 5 years if a candidate belongs to SC/ST/SC(A)
ii) upto a maximum of 3 years in the case of candidates belonging to BC/MBC/DNC/ BC(M)
iii)upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind ,deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped persons.
Hostel Facility
Free coaching and Boarding is provided for the Residential Stream
Tuition Fees for the Coaching
Full – time (Residential)“Other Community” students of residential streams will have to pay a tuition fee of Rs. 1000/- only for the entire course.
Part – time (Non – Residential)Candidates, selected for part-time course are not eligible for hostel accommodation and have to pay a nominal tuition fee of Rs. 3,000/- only for the entire course.
Class Timings :
Full Time Classes will be conducted from morning 10am to 5pm evening.
Part-time classes will be conducted on Week days (6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.) and Saturday & Sunday
How to Apply ?
The applicants from districts other than Chennai can receive their applications from the District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Office at the District Collectorates, on all working days, giving proof of their age and educational qualification and submit it in the same office duly filled.

Syllabus for the Entrance Examination
Eligible candidates will have to appear for an Entrance Examination for two hours with Objective type questions on History of India and Indian National Movement, India and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, General Science, Current Events, General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate change, Basic Numeracy, Logical reasoning,
